DELSU Secondary School To Hold Endowment Fundraising Ceremony Saturday

All is set for the Five Billion Naira (N5,000,000,000) endowment fund raising ceremony organized by the Delta State University Secondary School Parents Teachers Association in collaboration with her national and state alumni.

This was contained in a statement on Friday issued by the Public Relations Unit of Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Vice Chancellor’s Office.

According to the statement, the event scheduled for Saturday, 6th December, 2025, will hold at the school premises, Site I, Abraka.

Proposed plans for the said fund include construction and furnishing of 3 blocks of two storey building of six classrooms each, construction of and equipment for a modern science laboratory (for Physics, Chemistry and Biology),
construction of and equipment for a modern Computer laboratory and construction of and equipment for a modern Home Economics laboratory.

The to-do-list also has construction of a music studio, purchase of music equipment, installation of a standard solar system to power the entire school, purchase of a 32 seater school bus, construction of a well-furnished school hall, construction of a modern staff room for teachers and complete interlocking tilling of the premises.

The event will kick off at 10a.m.

“Voluntarily donations of items, cash or undertaking any of the projects enlisted above shall be remembered in the annals of the school,” the statement added.
