Publishers Of Community Newspapers Visit Ethiope East Council Boss
The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe JP, today played host to some publishers of community newspapers during a courtesy visit to his office in Isiokolo.
The delegation, led by Comr. Prince Orhomonokpaye, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Newspapers and Publisher of Delta Guide, said the visit was to enable the team gain firsthand insight into the developments they have been seeing on social media, as well as to strengthen collaboration with the council chairman.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Ogedegbe expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that his administration recognizes the crucial role of the media in driving the MORE Agenda in Ethiope East Local Government Area.
He emphasized that community newspapers remain vital partners in ensuring transparent governance, public enlightenment, and sustained development at the grassroots.

The chairman assured the delegation of his continuous cooperation and partnership, stating that the council remains committed to supporting media practitioners in the discharge of their duties.
He further encouraged the publishers to uphold professionalism and objectivity in their reportage, as the administration continues to implement policies and projects aimed at transforming Ethiope East.
