One Dead, Two Critically Injured In Eku-Abraka Road Accident

A tragic road accident on Eku-Abraka Road has left one person dead and two others with life-threatening injuries after a vehicle collided with a concrete pole.
The fatal accident, which occurred on Saturday, January 31, involved five young men who were reportedly returning from a funeral.
Eyewitness accounts, including a statement from one of the survivors, indicate that the driver had attempted to overtake another car when he lost control of the over speeding vehicle, causing the car to collide with a concrete pole and crash into nearby palm trees.
A careful observation of the vehicle shows that it was severely damaged from the forceful crash.
Those at the scene of the accident described the accident as sudden and frightening.

Several residents rushed to assist the victims, moving them to safety and alerting emergency responders.
One of the passengers died at the hospital, while two others sustained critical injuries.
It was gathered that their condition was so severe that they were referred to another hospital in Benin City for urgent medical attention.
However, two other passengers, including the source of the report, survived the crash with minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the accident could have been avoided if proper caution had been exercised while overtaking.
