Let There Be Rice For Secondary School Teachers In Ukwuani, Ajede Declares
The all-inclusive and benevolent Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon Barr. C.S Possible Ajede, has given rice and cash gifts to the all teachers in Ukwuani in celebration of Easter.
This took place on Thursday at Obiaruku Grammer School Community hall.
In his welcome address, the benevolent Education Ambassador felicitated with the collaboration of Secondary School Teachers across the area, who were assembled at the Obiaruku Grammer School Hall, while urging them to assist the government in curbing drug abuse, cultism and fraud among students in their various schools.
The Do More Agenda Chairman recapitulated that there is urgent need for secondary school teachers across the local government to inculcate good morals into the students even if it means doing so amidst lectures.
“Make opportunities like Parents/Teachers Association Interactive Section an avenue to invite guardians to spearhead this call for all in the area to enlighten their young lads on the consequences of doing drugs in the area,” he stated.

Responding, the leadership of the Secondary Schools in Ukwuani expressed the profound gratitude of the collaboration of groups, saying that this kind gesture from the Ome Ife Oma 1 of Obiaruku to teachers, is the first of its kind in the history of this Local Government and would not be forgotten in a hurry.
Highlights of the event were the handing of 10 kg bags of rice and cash gift to all teachers present.
