The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the temporary suspension of the Itakpe-Ijevwu Train Service due to operational and technical issues.

The corporation disclosed this in a statement issued yesterday in Lagos by its Chief Public Relations Officer, Callistus Unyimadu.

According to the statement, the suspension followed operational exigencies and technical advice from the corporation’s engineers.

The NRC explained that the temporary shutdown became necessary to allow the corporation carry out critical operational assessments aimed at ensuring continued safety, reliability, and improved service delivery along the corridor.
