Students Must Attend 75% Of Lectures To Sit For Exams — Southern Delta University
The management of Southern Delta University, Ozoro, has directed students of the institution to maintain a minimum of 75 percent lecture attendance to qualify for examinations.
The directive was contained in an official bulletin issued on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, by the Information and Public Relations Unit of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
According to the university management, the institution’s policy on minimum lecture attendance remains fully in force, stressing that students who fail to meet the required attendance threshold will not be allowed to sit for examinations in their respective courses.
The university also instructed academic staff to ensure proper monitoring and documentation of students’ attendance during lectures.

Students were advised to attend lectures regularly in order to meet the stipulated requirement and avoid disqualification from examinations.
The management emphasized that strict compliance with the directive is expected from both staff and students as part of efforts to uphold academic discipline and standards in the institution.
