Bishop Irabor Urges Edo Pastors To Stand With Suleman, Osazuwa

WARRI, DELTA STATE — Bishop Wisdom Irabor has called on pastors from Edo State to stand in solidarity with Apostle Johnson Suleman and Apostle Charles Osazuwa, describing the two clerics as prominent voices representing the state in Nigerian Pentecostal Christianity.

Irabor made the call in a message in which he urged Edo pastors to support Suleman and Osazuwa in the same manner he said pastors from other regions stand behind prominent ministers from their own communities.

According to him, the two clerics have become major representatives of Edo State in ministry, noting their influence in evangelism, crowd mobilisation, public affairs and the Pentecostal movement.

He said, “They both represent our own voice in ministry from Edo State,” adding that their prominence had helped project the state on the national and international Christian stage.

Irabor also described Suleman and Osazuwa as influential figures whom politicians and other public figures consult, while highlighting what he described as their ability to attract large gatherings and mobilise people through their ministries.

The bishop further linked the two pastors to the legacy of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, saying their ministries represented different aspects of the influence and impact associated with the late Pentecostal pioneer.

He described Suleman as representing what he called the governmental authority aspect of Idahosa’s ministry, while Osazuwa, according to him, represents the crusade and evangelistic dimension.

Irabor also noted that both clerics have strong relationships with prominent Nigerian Pentecostal leaders, identifying Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo as their fathers or mentors in ministry.

He urged Edo pastors not to allow disagreements with the two ministers to undermine their contributions, stressing that supporting them should be seen as protecting the state’s influence in Christian ministry.

According to him, Edo State has produced several prominent ministers, including Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, but he singled out Suleman and Osazuwa as two major contemporary voices with significant influence.

Irabor said the two pastors should not be seen as rivals, stressing that they remain “brothers for life.”

He added that the success and advancement of the two ministers should be regarded as a source of pride for Edo State.

“God is with everyone of us from Edo State. God is using everyone of us from Edo State. God is blessing everyone of us from Edo State,” he said.

Irabor, who identified himself as being from Ujemeh, Ekpoma, Edo State, but based in Warri, Delta State, concluded by praying for the continued protection and success of Suleman and Osazuwa.
