Igbenije Commends Progress On DESOPADEC Agbor Area Office, Assures Timely Completion

The Member representing Ika ethnic nationality on the Commission’s Board, Hon. Cosmas Igbenije , Thursday September 3, 2026 paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the site of the ongoing construction of the Commission’s Area Office at Agbor in Ika South LGA.
At the project site, Hon. Igbenije expressed satisfaction with the level and pace of work ongoing at the site and thanked the contractor for returning to site to continue with the project.
Speaking during the visit, the DESOPADEC Site Engineer, Engr. Jude Adinkwu assured the Board Member of timely completion and quality delivery as stipulated in the Bill of Engineering Measurement.
In his remarks, Hon. Igbenije said: “We cannot wait to commence engagements in this Area Office. This Office is expected to bring DESOPADEC services closer to our people in line with the Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.”

In the same vein, Hon. Igbenije urged Ika Students in Tertiary Institutions to register with and avail themselves of the ongoing DESOPADEC Bursary largesse, saying that education remains the greatest legacy that a responsible establishment like the Commission could bequeath on the next generation.
It will be recalled that this is the third time Hon. Igbenije will be visiting the Area Office since his inauguration as Member representing the nationality on the Board of the Commission, besides his unwavering commitment to initiate and drive meaningful development and engagements with the good people of Ika ethnic nationality.
