Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Ebizi Ndiomu Brown, Member representing Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to youth development as she pledged her support for the forthcoming SALGA Federated Youth Council Parliament Sitting and Career Talk.

Hon. Ebizi made the pledge when she received members and leadership of the SALGA Federated Youth Council Parliament on a courtesy visit led by its Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ernest Biwaribo Dakoru.

Today’s visit formed part of the preparations for the Parliament’s 2nd Sitting and Career Talk, scheduled to hold from September 11th to 12th, 2026.

Discussions during the engagement centred on youth participation in governance, community development, effective representation, leadership, and the collective future of Sagbama Constituency III.

The leadership of the Council also expressed its continued support for Hon. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown, acknowledging her commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, effective representation, and constructive engagement with her constituents.

A major highlight of the discussion was the need to safeguard the future of young people by discouraging involvement in drug abuse, cultism, crime, and other social vices capable of destroying their lives and aspirations.

The youths were encouraged to embrace technology, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, education, and other legitimate opportunities available for personal and community development.

Hon. Ebizi emphasized that in today’s rapidly changing world, young people have numerous opportunities to build meaningful and sustainable livelihoods through digital skills, content creation, fashion designing, agriculture, welding, catering, and other vocational and entrepreneurial ventures.

She stressed that success can be achieved through hard work, creativity, discipline, and determination without resorting to crime, substance abuse, cultism, or other harmful activities.

The lawmaker commended the Speaker, leadership, and members of the SALGA Federated Youth Council Parliament for their resilience, foresight, and determination to embark on meaningful programmes capable of positively impacting the youths and society at large.

Hon. Ebizi further charged the Parliament to remain ambassa dors of peace, unity, togetherness, and responsible leadership, particularly as political activities and the forthcoming elections draw closer.
