Church Gists
Expect More Attacks On Scriptures In 2018, Cleric Tells Christians
Senior Pastor, Truth Aflame International Church, Warri, Rev. Goddowell Ivworin, has revealed that the church will experience more attacks on scriptures in 2018, urging the church to brace up for this.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat in Warri recently, Rev. Ivworin opined that the church witnessed an attack on scriptural doctrines in 2017, saying that clerics must be careful with what they preach and write.
His words: “In 2018 there is a preparation to shoot different arrows, with the aim of attempting to bring out evidence to attempt to show that the Bible is fake and a book written by men.”
He added that this move by the enemies of the church is also targeted at Christians with the aim of confusing them.
According to him, this was a divine message to the church, stressing that the church must stand firm in the Word which is the truth.
He continued: “Presently, the attack now is on church finances. It is a mission in disguise as if it is geared towards helping the poor, when in the real sense it is to prevent Christians from carrying out their obligations in the areas of offerings and tithing.”
Ivworin called on clerics and believers to study, adding that church leaders should desist from responding to critics rashly and placing curses on them, but rather use scriptures to counter them.
