Majemite Presents 2018 Budget Estimate Of N2.7 Billion For Ethiope East LGA

The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Hon.Chief (Mrs)Faith Majemite, yesterday presented a budget estimate of N2,708,213,160:80K (Two billion, seven hundred and eight million, two hundred and thirteen thousand, one hundred and sixty naira, eighty Kobo) for 2018 fiscal year to the council’s legislative arm for consideration and approval.
Addressing the legislators during their plenary, Majemite explained that payments of local government staff salary and payments of emoluments to political office holders were still in arrears.
She called for the usual cooperation of the House in making sure that the budget is passed without unnecessary delay.
Responding, the leader of the house, Hon. Victor Ofobrukueta assured the Chairman that the honourable house will expedite action on the smooth passage of the budget proposal.
A Motion for adjournment was moved by the majority leader, Hon Friday Odje, and seconded by Hon Inaba Neta Deputy Majority leader of the house.
