DTHA Sapele Constituency: My Political Support Base Cuts Across Party Lines, Says Tuedor
-Urges Supporters To Be Strong, Remain Together
By Daniel Dafe
The candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, for the Delta State House of Assembly race, Sapele Constituency, Barr. Tuedor Akpevwe Jackson (TAJ), has said that he is sure of victory in the 2019 elections, adding that his political support base cuts across party lines.
Tuedor while responding to questions during an exclusive chat with Oasis Magazine (OM), added that his political structure and that of DPP will deliver the desired victory during the elections.
According to him, he opted for another political platform after he was edged out by some individuals in his former party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, adding that one of the reasons he is determined to remain in the race is because many of his supporters are unhappy that after all the hullabaloo of the “not too young to rule initiative”, he was treated badly by the APC.
He continued: “My supporters know how much I spent, the efforts I put in and the time spent in pursuing this dream while in APC. They see me as a beacon of light and as the hope of the hopeless and thus urged me to look for another platform to pursue my interest.”
“My candidature is an opportunity for the youths to show that they really can make a difference,” he averred.
While urging his supporters to be strong and stand together, he stressed that: “The politics today is no more about the political party, but the personality of an individual vying for an office, his manifesto and goals.”
He added: “My dream of becoming the lawmaker to represent the people of Sapele, come 2019, may be hard, but it is not impossible,” as he urged the people of the area to join forces with him to emerge victorious during the general elections.
“If given the mandate, Sapele will never remain the same again. Let us work together and create a brighter future for Sapele,” he said.
