The Member representing Ukwuani Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Alphonsus Ojo, has said that his representation has been people-oriented, saying that he was sure of victory at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primaries.

Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat at a function in Obiaruku, he assured his supporters that his victory was sure.

The party’s primaries for aspirants vying for the House of Assembly seat holds tomorrow.

Speaking about the achievements recorded by him after representing his people in the state legislative chambers for three terms, he said: “I have given my people effective representation characterized by human capital development and empowerment programmes which include the several permanent jobs I have given to people in my constituency.”

He continued: “My simplicity, integrity and accessibility have endeared me to my people. I do not promise what I cannot do. Legislative business is strictly lawmaking. But, the fact that I am a philanthropist has made me embrace empowering people.”

According to him, if given a fresh mandate, he would consolidate on his previous achievements, stressing that he would focus more on youth and women based legislative and empowerment programmes, saying that he would not seek re-election.

He urged the delegates not to compromise, but vote for who would represent their interests.

“Don’t mortgage your conscience because of money,” he added.
