Group Alleges That Gwamnishu Is Not A Lawyer

A Group under the auspices of Emissaries of the People International Organization has said that the Coordinator of Behind Bars Initiative, BBI, Prince Harrison Gwamnishu, is not a lawyer yet he wore the “gown” and “wig” of a lawyer on his Facebook and Twitter handle to extort unsuspecting individuals.

The group made the assertion in a statement signed by its National Chairman and Secretary, Barr. F.F. Elume and Emmanuel Orhorho respectively.

The group noted that Behind Bars Initiative,BBI is not a registered group as claimed by its Coordinator.

The group alleged that Harrison Gwamnishu has been using the BBI platform to extort money from unsuspecting public.

The group who was reacting to the recent unprovoked, unwarranted and unnecessary assault on the Divisional Police Officer of “C” Division, Asaba, CSP Anieteh Eyoh, allegedly by Prince Harrison Gwamnishu.

While noting that they do not support the harassment of innocent Nigerians by policemen, the group said, “We don’t support Nigerian assaulting policemen let alone a Divisional Police Officer in his office.

“If a Policeman misbehaves, there are legitimate and.civilized ways to handle such issues,” the statement added.

The group called on the Inspector General Of Police, IGP Ibrahim Khoutoun Idris and the Delta State Commissioner of Police to do more to protect the lives of policemen.

“At least, Policemen are human beings. Not animals and spirits. Keeping silent while our policemen face this kind of attacks by Harrison Gwamnishu and his cohorts is not the best way to motivate our policemen into making our society a better place.

“We as a body have taken it as a burden to ensure that Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu and his cohorts are brought to justice by ensuring that the appropriate sanctions are meted on him and his co-travellers.

“We call on the judiciary to ensure that people like Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu and his cohorts are kept where they belong and the society is protected from people like them.”

The group said since the redeployment of CSP Anieteh Eyoh from the “B” Division, Warri there has been proliferation of armed robbery and associated crimes.

“With the help of God Almighty, CSP Anieteh Eyoh made Warri safe for all of us.

“We call on the Inspector General of Police and the Delta State Commissioner of Police to do more to protect policemen like CSP Anieteh Eyoh. “
