2019: INEC Must Flush Out PDP Moles In The Commission, Says Ogboru
By Daniel Dafe
An aspirant for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ethiope East Constituency, Mr. Rex Ogboru, has called on the Professor Mahmood Yakubu-led Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to flush out PDP moles in the commission, saying that these persons are out to frustrate the efforts of the electoral umpire.
Mr. Ogboru who spoke with journalists in his Abraka residence after INEC announced a one week shift in the polls, added: “We need to look deeply into INEC and flush out the bad eggs so that materials can go to the different polling stations so that we can have free and fair elections.”
He said: “The INEC Chairman said it was a logistics problem. But, I personally wanted the elections to hold. We have to wait till the d-day.”
Speaking about his experience at Asaba when he represented his party, APC, during the supposed collection of materials to his local government, he alleged that PDP is recruiting thugs disguising as vigilante members.
He continued: “Some of them were arrested yesterday with guns in Asaba. When we got hint of what was going on, we informed the police. I think they want to heat up the polity. The police have to do something about it. I do not know why they went there with guns yesterday.”
He called on the electorates to be patient, saying that his party would win, come Saturday, 23rd February, 2019.
