A community leader in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief (Amb.) Harrison Jessa, has expressed satisfaction at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly polls, adding that the election was impressive.
Chief Jessa said this while responding to questions from journalists during the polls in his voting unit in Ward 2, Unit 5 at Urhuovie-Abraka in the said council area.
He continued: “People came out en masse to vote and it has been very peaceful and there is no fighting. All parties are here voting and doing their best. The election went on very smoothly.”
According to him, the 2019 election compared to previous ones was very peaceful, adding that “in time past, during elections, you see army everywhere, but now we have just two policemen and yet there is calm.”
