‘Buhari’s Election Would Further Develop N’Delta’— Group
The 4+4 Niger Delta Believer’s Council, a pressure group within the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said that the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari will further develop the Niger Delta region through his developmental programmes.
National coordinator of the group, Sir Fred Magada in a statement yesterday, stated that the second term of President Buhari as president and the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu as a cabinet member, should be seen as victory for the people of the Niger Delta region whom he said have been faced with series of under development in the past years.
He said: “We will like to applaud the election of President Buhari and laud the efforts of Kachikwu and other leaders of the party for the votes recorded in Delta State during the presidential election.
“We believe his victory at the polls was made possible because of his integrity, character and leadership qualities during his first term in office.
“I want to also use this medium to assure the people of the Niger Delta that if Mr. President could do so much for the people of the Niger Delta in his first term when the people gave him little votes, he would definitely do more in his second term with the number of votes recorded this time.”
