DELSU Best Graduating Student With CGPA Of 4.91 Gets Automatic Employment, Scholarship

There was joy unending today as the overall best graduating student of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, for the 2017/2018 academic session, Jonathan Maviano, was offered automatic employment.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Victor Peretomode stated this during the 13th Convocation ceremony of the institution.
He also disclosed that the university would sponsor his Masters and Doctorate Degrees abroad, adding that the gesture was a reward for hardwork.
Jonathan, a graduate of Mathematics Department graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.91.
By this feat, Jonathan surpassed the record of Mr. Joshua Erubami of Mass Communication, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.86 during the 2015/2016 academic session, making him the all-time best graduating student of the institution.
In his speech, Jonathan who shed tears of joy, thanked the university management and the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration for the employment opportunity.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, a total of 68 students bagged first class honours, while 4, 252 graduated for the 2017/2018 academic session.
