I am shocked By The Dissolution Of UPU Youth Wing Executive— Anidi
-Says The Decision Was Taken Because He Refused To Be A Stooge To Anyone
By Daniel Dafe
Comrade Louis Anidi has expressed shock over the dissolution of the executive of the Youth Wing of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Worldwide (Ighelle), by the National Executive of the parent body.
In a press statement by Anidi made available to this reporter, he added: “I did my best for Urhobo Nation through my office for the over one year I served as President.”
He said: “The reasons for the suspension as stated in the press release were blown out of proportion. I think my crime is that I decided not to be a stooge to some persons that think they own UPU. I call on Chief (Engr.) Joe Omene to state the true reasons for my suspension and not hide under any flimsy excuses he said in his press statement.”
While calling for calm by his supporters, he congratulated Ovie Igho Anthony who has been appointed by the parent body to run the affairs of the youth wing for the now, as he wished him success in this new task.
