UPU: Now That Elections Are Over, Let’s Support Owe –Asite

The reelected Financial Secretary of Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, Chief Sir Simon Asite (JP) has called on the Urhobos to rally around and support the reelected President General of the apex socio-cultural body of Urhobo Nation, UPU , Chief Ese Gam Owe, describing him as an erudite lawyer.
This comes after the conclusion of the UPU Worldwide general elections .
The Evwreni born member of the prestigious Urhobo Integrity Organization ( UPIO ), made the call in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at his residence, Kolokolo Layout Enerhen over the weekend.
“Now that the elections are over, the Urhobos should rally around and support our reelected President General of UPU Worldwide, Olorogun Ese Gam Owe to build a stronger UPU and a better developed Urhobo Nation, especially now that an Urhobo son, His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori of Urhobo extraction is Governor of the state.
“We must refrain from negative criticisms which are self destructive. Others are watching us. We should refrain from the’ pull him down’ ( PHD ) syndrome.
“Those who lost the elections should congratulate Olorogun Ese Gam Owe and contribute to his administration to make a better Urhobo Nation.”
The soft spoken Chief Asite who is also the National Financial Secretary of UPIO, seized the opportunity to congratulate the Chairman, Planning Committee 2025 UPU Congress/Urhobo Day celebration, Dr (Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu, PhD for organizasing a very credible and successful program.

“He ( Okorodudu) is a known mobilizer of people and a very respected personality in Urhobo Nation, Delta State and Nigeria,” he added.
Asite also used the opportunity to appreciate the Urhobos for his reelection as the Financial Secretary of Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, as he vowed to improve on his achievements.
