DELSU VC Appointment: Egwunyenga Family To Hold Thanksgiving February 23

Members of the Egwunyenga family of Atuma-Iga in Oshimilli North Local Government Area of Delta State, will on Sunday, February 23, 2020, appreciate God for the appointment of their son, Professor Andy Egwuyenga as Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, by the Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
The thanksgiving programme scheduled to kick off with a Holy Mass at St. Paul Catholic Chaplaincy in Site II, Abraka, will be followed by a reception for guests at the university’s Convocation Arena in Site III.
A statement from the Public Relations Department said that the occasion will be chaired by the university’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Sam Oyovbaire.
Also, the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Special Guest of Honour, is expected to grace the event.
Prof. Egwunyenga took over as the seventh VC of DELSU on the 1st of December, 2019, following his appointment by Okowa after he came out tops amongst the over ten aspirants for the position.
