DELSU VC Approves 2026 Work-Study Aid Scheme, As Application Opens For Interested Students

“The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, has, on behalf of the University Management, approved the 2026 DELSU Work-Study Aid Scheme.”

This was contained in an official bulletin issued by the Issued by the Public Relations Unit of Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Vice Chancellors Office, on Tuesday.

The statement added: “The programme is an on-campus, part-time work aid scheme, which is specifically designed to support financially-challenged (indigent) undergraduate students by enabling them to earn income while studying, without disrupting their academic activities.

“To this end, interested applicants are hereby encouraged to apply, as successful applicants will be engaged in approved University units and assigned to carry outgeneral support services that are non-hazardous and will also receive a monthly allowance, subject to University policy.”

To be eligible, the institution said that interested applicants must be a registered full-time undergraduate student of DELSU, demonstrate financial need, be in good academic standing, have no serious disciplinary record, must have a CGPA of 2.40. and above.

According to the release, the work schedule will be during flexible working hours and structured around lecture periods, adding that those taken will work for only a few hours per week and must not interfere with academic performance.

Interested students are to apply to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) on or, before Thursday, 22nd January, 2026.

Continuing, the institution, said priority will be given to indigent students, students without existing scholarship, students recommended by their departments or the Student Affairs Division.
