He stated that the community had been overwhelmed with the Deputy Speakers’ attention to the community, as their findings had revealed from different government offices, he had been paying attention to the Akoku Community, and prayed he should not be dissuaded in any way in his representation of the people of Ukwuani Local Government Area.
“My Rt. Honourable, we have seen your good efforts in representing our people at the State House of Assembly. We were not surprised when we went to offices to submit documents in some government offices, and were told you had already sent input on our behalf; we commend you for this.”
“This further confirms that when we chose you to represent us, we know we had not made any mistake,” he stated.
In his reaction, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, thanked the Okpala-Uku, and the people of Akoku community for the commendation, and promised that he will continue to do his best as the representative of his constituency.
He told them that most of his achievements as their representative, is due to their prayers and cooperation, and the understanding from the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
“I have to tell you, my success for the first year as your representative, had been from community’s like Akoku who had always been supportive. With your commendation I promise to do more for you.”
“However in doing more, we have to also commend the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his concerns for our people. He has been very supportive and I have to commend him for that.”
He promised to continue to push for the development of all communities in the local government through better legislative activities to ensure that Ukwuani is not shortchanged in the affairs of the state.
