Ethiope East LGA Constitutes Abraka Market COVID-19 Enforcement Team

The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State, Chief (Mrs.) Faith Majemite, has constituted a 26-man COVID-19 Enforcement Committee to help curb the spread of the disease in the university town of Abraka.
A letter in this regard sighted by this medium said Comrade Bayo Eyube, SA to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation will function as the Chairman of the committee, while Ayoma Ovo will serve as the Vice Chairman.
The said committee will also function as the Abraka Market Sub-Revenue Committee.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) exclusively, Eyube said their task was to ensure that those coming to the market obey the COVID-19 guidelines in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
Furthermore, he appealed to residents especially traders in the market to ensure that they wear their facemasks before going into the market, adding that buyers are also expected to do same.
According to him, there are consequences for flouting the order.
Continuing, he thanked the Chairman of the council for finding him worthy for the appointment and promised not to repose the confidence placed on him.
