Delta Butchers Mourn Obada

The Delta State Butchers Union (DSBU) has described the death of Major – General O. E. Obada (Rtd) as a big blow to the members, being the Patron of the union.
The remark was made by Comrade David Akusu (JP), Chairman, Delta State Butchers Union on behalf of the group during the burial of the late Urhobo Icon in Orho – Agbarho recently.
Akusu described late Obada as a forthright urhobo leader, having meritoriously retired from the military before serving the Urhobo nation as desired by the people.
He said that Major – General E. O. Obada would be remembered for his lofty leadership skill, strategies and foresight which helped to project Urhobo nation in the country and the world at large.
“The urhobo people, particular the butchers are pained by the exit of our leader and true statesman at a time his wealth of leadership experience is needed more than before.

“We are indeed in grief, nursing the pains of his sudden death with the entire country as a Former Federal Minister of Works and the Patron of our union,” he stated.
Describing the late Urhobo icon as a leader who at all times offered useful suggestions to take the Butchers Union to an enviable height, Akusu prayed God to grant the family, the people of Agbarho and entire urhobo nation the fortitude to bear the painful demise of the Urhobo leader.
