Itihwe, A Dedicated, Hardworking, Loyal Party Member

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has described the departed former DESOPADEC member who represented Ughelli South, Udu, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South at the interventionist board as a very hardworking, dedicated and loyal PDP member.

Deacon Otuaro who attended the service of songs of late Sir (Dr), ITIHWE Amos Errujerry JP, PhD in his compound, along Old-Ogor Road, Ughelli, said the late politician while on earth, led an exemplary life that impacted positively on humanity and every one around him.

The Deputy Governor remarked “the day is not an exciting moment, but we give glory to God that our dear political associate had lived a life of service to God as evident by what the Pastor who preached earlier had said, and service to the development of our party, the PDP in Delta state. We will certainly miss him for his amazing contributions. He had over time laid for the success of the party.”

“I just want to use this special opportunity to encourage us that having lived a life of emulation in the service of God, we will certainly meet him one day when we will part no more,” he added.

He assured that they, the friends and associates of the departed will ensure the family he left behind are not forgotten.”

His children are relatively young and they deserve our attention and care. That of course we are expected to give as his associates and friends and relatives as the case may be. We need to look importantly into that so that the family of the deceased will not see a substantial vacuum created by his passing into glory. I want to thank everyone that has come for this service of song to pay our departed brother, our friends and associates his last respect.”

The minister of God, Most Rev. C O Odutemu who preached the word of God at the event, charged Christians to be closer to God now that they are alife because “a time will come when everyone will give account to God on how they spent their time on earth,” he said.

He said everyone has an appointed time with God, and whenever your time comes, you stand before God to give account of yourself.

“One day we are all going to die and give account of all we did,” he concluded.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied to the event by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba, Engr. Jude Senebe, some of his aides, the Chairman of Ughelli South, the Hon. member representing Ughelli South at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Uzeezi and many other top government functionaries.

Highpoint of the event was the ministrations of the word of God, prayers for the family of the deceased, reading of various lessons and ministrations of songs.
