Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has condoled with the Senior Special Assistant and the Director of Political Mobilisation to  the Governor, Sir Austine Onianwa, on the death of his daughter, late Mrs. Lynda Nkeiruka Oleka, nee Onianwa, describing her demise as untimely and unfortunate.

While describing the deceased as a pride to womanhood and source of inspiration to many women, especially for her moral discipline and outstanding educational background which made her family proud by adding value to the society, Mr. Ukah enjoined the deceased relatives, particularly her father, Sir Austine Onianwa, not to see her death as end of the world but to take solace in God.

Earlier in a homily, the Parish Priest of St. Monica Catholic Church, Ibusa, Rev. Fr. Joseph Okoli, noted that the late Mrs. Oleka was a dedicated Christian who contributed  her quota towards the  propagation of  the Catholic doctrines in all ramifications, just as he prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Speaking on behalf of the Onianwa’s family, the Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Peace Building, Hon. Henry Onianwa, said that despite losing her in her prime, the deceased was an accomplished daughter who made the family proud, adding that the vacuum her demise had created in the family would be difficult to fill

In a related development, the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner also attended the burial/funeral mass of late Ezzine (Mrs.) Mercy Enubundidi Ofuonyeadi, mother of a Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and former councillor in Ibusa, Hon.
