The need for couples to perceive marriage as an institution ordained by God and the essence of tolerating each other as fundamental principles that could determine the success of marriage has been stressed.

The Vicar of St. George’s Anglican Church, Igbodo, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, Venerable Samuel Ejademu, stated this during the wedding ceremony between Comrade Chikwunie Augustine Enunwa and former miss Isioma Timothy.

Ven. Ejademu, who urged couples to assist each other at all times to be able to actualise their vision in life, advised them to always look on to God for solution to issues and shun acts that could impact negatively on their marriage.

In their separate remarks, some information officers and friends of the groom, Comrade Augustine Enunwa who spoke including Comrade Ejoor Onoharigho, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Rita Onoharigho, the Vice Chairman of the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Salvation Ogono, Comrade Akaeze Okwudili and Mr. Pascal Afam Adagbor from the State Ministry of Justice urged the newly wed to abstain from third party influence on their marriage.

Comrade Onoharigho and Mr. Pascal Adagbor, particularly described Comrade Augustine Enunwa as a humble, meticulous and reliable individual, adding that the couple should build their marriage on God’s foundation and strengthen the existing love for each other.

The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Emmanuel Anyoma, in his welcome address who underscored the importance patience plays among Individuals so as to get the right partners for marriage at the God’s appointed time, noted that there was every husband and wife for all men and women.

Earlier, the groom, Comrade Chikwunie Augustine Enunwa said that he was overwhelmed with joy for the marriage, noting that marriage was one of the determining factors for one’s assessment of being responsible.

Comrade Enunwa,who described his wife, now Mrs. Isioma Enunwa as a caring woman and his best companion, as he appreciated all and sundry for identifying with them on their marriage, just as his wife described him as humble and kind hearted.

Recall that the traditional ties for the union was conducted earlier at the bride parent’s compound at Igbodo in accordance with the customs and traditions of Ika ethnic nationality.
