Delta State Vocational Educational Programme Kicks Off In Ika North East

The Administrator, Delta State Vocational Education Ika North-East Center, Mr James Onyebadi, has disclosed that the vocational education programme kicked off operations this week.
According to him, the programme had been structured into various departments in order to meet the demands of the candidates.
He added that the centre had kicked off with six basic departments which he highlighted to include: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Electrical Installation, Tailoring, Catering, Hair dressing and Barbing.
He made the disclosure in Owa-Oyibu.
The Vocational Education Centre which is located within the premises of the Teacher’s Professional Development Centre Owa-Oyibu, is currently enrolling candidates into her programmes.
Mr. Onyabadi said that the enrollment form costs the sum of #1000 while the training fee is #6000 respectively, adding that the programme lasts for six months only.
He stated also that the centre runs two batches within one year, stressing “the programme is designed to run continuously”.
The Administrator said that, knowledgeable instructors were readily on ground to take on the programme, while pointing out that the programme was meant for both the educated and non-educated.
Expressing the essence of the programme, Mr Onyebadi stated that the programme was targeted at equipping youths with relevant skills in order to get them out of the street and be meaningfully engaged.
