Sapele: Inoaghan Swears-In Ogirisen, Eferurie, Other Councilors, As Churchill Ayomanor Emerges Leader Of Legislative House

The re-elected Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon Eugene Inoaghan on Friday, March 12, 2021 swore in Hon. Richard Ogirisen, Councilor ward one, Hon Peter Eferurie Adjemiyotan Councilor ward nineteen and eighteen other councilors at the council secretariat saddled with the responsibility to represent their wards.

The council boss, Hon Eugene Inoaghan charged the newly elected councilors to be diligent in their duties as they represent the people of their respective wards.

Meanwhile, the chairman had earlier on appreciated Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa Governor of Delta State for his impartial and fatherly role during the March 6 election.

He further commended leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Sapele for their unalloyed support and all those who in one way or the other assisted the party to emerge victorious.

Hon Peter Eferurie Adjemiyotan, one of the newly sworn-in councilors representing the people of ward nineteen who spoke to journalist said that he was very elated to have been elected to serve the people of his ward while noting that he will continue with the projects that he has started in Ozue Community, adding that hitherto, he has provided bore hole, educational materials, financial and health care related issue to assist the residents of ward 19.

In his words; I thank the leaders and electorates who voted for me and I want to assure the people who I represent that I will bring more developments to Ozue and carry everyone along irrespective of party affiliation.

Hon Churchill Ayomanor who spoke in the same vein said that it was expedient for the seventh Assembly Legislative Arm to work in synergy with the Executive Chairman to bring massive development to Sapele, stating that as Councilors they are saddled with the responsibility to serve the people whom they represent and do their best to ensure that the people benefit from governmental projects and this feat can only be achieved through harmony and readiness to serve.

Hon Richard Ogirisen who could not bottle his joy told journalist after the swearing in ceremony, that he holds all the praise to God Almighty for his re-election.

He also thanked Chief Felix Anirah and other leaders who supported him wholeheartedly, adding that he will serve with more devotion and dedication in his second tenure.

The newly elected Councilors of ward three, Hon Ubogu Vieri Rukevwe, ward six- Hon Nasir Ado, ward seven – Hon Ejemighaye Stanley Kogoro, ward eight -Hon Ovo Abeke, ward nine- Hon Raymond Ukubeyinje and ward twelve- Hon Henry Temisan also stepped out to reel their plans for residents of their various wards, while promising to work in line with the party objectives to provide the dividends of democracy.

In ward six and nine, Hon Nasir Ado and Hon Raymond Ukubeyinje promised to provide borehole as the first project they will be embarking on in their respective ward.

Councilors were also giving the responsibility to nominate principal officers that will help with the smooth running of legislative matter as Hon. Churchill Ayomanor emerged has Leader of the house, Hon Solomon Aligba, Deputy Leader, Hon Mrs Caroline Okpako, Majority Leader, Hon Ubogu Vieri Rukevwe, Deputy Majority Leader, Hon Raymond Ukubeyinje, Chief Whip, Hon Duke Azan, Deputy Chief Whip.

Councilors sworn in include Hon Monday Eigbodu ward two, Hon Lucky Ajamikoko ward five, Hon Mrs Christiana Amitaye ward ten, Hon Gabriel Ochuko Omofeye ward eleven.
Others are Hon Samuel Ifude ward thirteen, Hon Clifford Ishuni ward fifteen, Hon Excellent Avwigborighe ward seventeen and Hon Samuel Azu ward eighteen.

Present at the swearing in ceremony were the Vice Chairman of council Hon Vincent Ayomanor, Chief Mrs Margret Unukegwor, Mr Tuetue, Olorogun Benson Odjiyovwi Okorodudu, Hon Bright Abeke Afure, Joyce Jemirherhi, Hon Harrison Ekeleme, Chief Omiemie Adibor, Chief Godday Okpako, Hon Joseph Atsheyinju, Hon Paul Owumi, and a host of other dignatries.
