Orogun Monarch Confers Chieftaincy Title On Edjetemu

His Royal Majesty (HRM), Akpojotor Ekpo 1, the Okpara-Uku of Orogun kingdom, in Ughelli North LGA, Delta State over the weekend confered a chieftaincy tittle of “The Uloho of Orogun kingdom” on Mr. Cliford Onwuka Edjetemu who has been found worthy in character and has contributed to the development of Orogun kingdom.
The chieftaincy ceremony which took place at the palace of the Opkara-Uku of Orogun in Orogun main town, was well attended by the family of Chief Cliford Onwuka Edjetemu and other of his relations including friends and well-wishers.
While conferring the chieftaincy tittle on Chief Cliford Onwuka, the Royal father said, “your sterling qualities and determine efforts in moving Orogun kingdom to an enviable height have earned you this honour and l charge you to work for more development of the kingdom and cooperate with other chiefs for the unity of the kingdom.”
The Orogun Monarch also advised him that as a chief in the kingdom, he needs not to fight in any public gathering, nor to woo another man’s wife, but to show kindness at all times.
The traditional ruler also posited: “You are not to fight with your wife,” adding that if there is trouble between them, he has. to settle it amicably without a third party.

The Royal father, however, prayed for long life, prosperity and good health for Olorogun Cliford Onwuka Edjetemu and family wishing him, safe journey to his destination.
Speaking to the Urhobo Voice immediately after the conferment of the tittle, Olorogun Cliford Onwuka thanked the Monarch for the honour done to him.
According to him, “I am excited today over the tittle confered on me, and l assure my Royal father that, l will continue to work for the growth of the kingdom.”
Speaking further, Olorogun Cliford Edjetemu also hinted: “l will not disappoint the confidence reposed in me by the Orogun Monarch and the tittle confered on me is a call to serve and it will propel me to do more in terms of taking Orogun to greater heights.”
“And l also use this medium to call on the people of Orogun kingdom including the youths to continue to cooperate with the Monarch at all times for the interest of the kingdom,” Olorogun Cliford Onwuka added.
