Ughelli North Councilors Swear-In New Chief Whip, Deputy Chief Whip, Laud Egbo, Proceed On Six Weeks Recess

Councilors in Ughelli North Local Government of Delta State have sworn-in Hon. Friday Joseph Obara, as the new Chief Whip of the House and Hon. Afidor Victor as the Deputy Chief Whip.

This was done during the sitting of the Legislative House that held on Thursday, 14th August, 2025.

The swearing-in of Hon. Obara and Victor was amongst other decisions unanimously reached by the house.

Oasis Magazine learnt that Obara is the councilor representing Orogun Ward 5, while Victor represents Agbarho Ward 19.

The councilors also resolved to proceed on a six (6) weeks recess with effect from Thursday14th August, 2025.

The House also appreciated and congratulated the council boss, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, for his achievements in terms of massive projects done by his administration in just one year in office, just as they appealed to him to subsequently focus on the maintenance of internal/link roads in the council area.

14 councilors are said to have attended the sitting.
