NUJ Delta Pleased With Ukah As SSG – Ikeogwu
By Patrick Ochei
The Chairman of Delta State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Michael Ikeogwu has said that the union is pleased with Chief Patrick Ukah being the Secretary to State Government, adding that the former Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education is better disposed to working with journalists in the state.
Ikeogwu made the assertion on Friday, 4th June, 2021, while felicitating with the SSG designate after his appointment was announced.
The chairman had led his Secretary, Comrade Patrick Ochei and other members of his Executive, including some colleagues to rejoice with the jolly good politician at his Asaba residence.

Meanwhile, Chief Ukah was happy to see the leaders of NUJ coming to felicitate with him and simply said that he was truly honoured for the recognition.
Chief Patrick Ukah has enjoyed enormous benefit from the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as political observers believed that this was evidence of hardwork, loyalty and diligence at play.
Ukah was first appointed Commissioner for Information where his imprint is still being felt, before his redeployment to the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education as Commissioner. This latest appointment as SSG underscores how dearly he is valued within the government and political circle of the state.
