Oghoro Expresses Satisfaction With Conduct Of 2021 Cognitive/Placement Examination

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Ede Oghoro, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the 2021 Cognitive / Placement Examination describing the exercise as successful.
Mr. Oghoro, stated this after monitoring the primary six examination for public and private schools in different parts of the state.
While saying that the essence of the inspection was to ensure that there was no hitches in the conduct of the examination, Mr. Oghoro said that there was effective preparation for the examination by the ministry under his watch.
The Basic and Secondary Education Permanent Secretary, who , noted that materials were adequate for the examination, poisited that the enthusiasm of the pupils to write the cognitive examination as well as the level of their preparedness was a clear indication that they would perform well.

Mr. Oghoro, however, lauded the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa for continuously supporting the ministry to ensure that it achieved its mandate effectively, just as he commended the Governor for providing not only conducive environment for teaching and learning but also put in place, conducive examination halls among other facilities.
He enjoined teachers in the state to redouble their commitment to their duties, adding that they were duty-bound to ensure that the children were taught well.
The Education Permanent Secretary, who described the primary school certificate examination as very important aspect of a child’s educational foundation, urged children to always take their studies seriously in order to have a brighter future.
Examination Centres monitored by the Permanent Secretary included Dom Domingo College, Warri, Edjeba Primary School, Edjeba-Warri, , Sapele, Oharisi Model Primary School, Ughelli, Otovwodo Primary School, Otovwodo, in Ughelli North, Emiye Girls Grammar School, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Aradhe Primary School, Aradhe in Isoko North Local Government Area as well as Utagba-Ogbe Grammar School, Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state among others.
