PHOTOS: Chief Ogboru Visits Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom Monarch, As Youths Pay Homage To Ovie

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the party in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, has visited the Ovie of Oruarivie Abraka Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, HRM Akpomeyoma Mpoajoroh, Ojeta 11, alongside youths of the kingdom after their successful three day conference.
Oasis Magazine (OM) learnt that the visit of the businessman cum politician was casual.
Chief Ogboru, who received royal blessings from the traditional ruler, was a special guest on the last day of the youth’s programme and because of his love for youths in the kingdom, decided to accompany them during the visit to the palace.
In Chief Ogboru’s entourage were his wife, Chief Ebi Ogboru, family members and friends.
Meanwhile, the monarch has expressed satisfaction with the Efe Don Kigho-led youth body, saying that at first he thought he made a mistake to have allowed Kigho as president, but with his achievements so far, he is glad to have him piloting the affairs of the youths in the kingdom.
Reacting to the cash gifts, food items and other presentations by the youths, he said: “I am touched,” as he prayed for the success of Kigho’s administration.

Earlier, the youth president thanked the monarch and community leaders for the opportunity to serve, saying he will not disappoint them.
The president who gave a detailed account of happenings during the three-day youth conference, said the visit was important because they are determined to set a precedence of great respect for the throne, adding that they have also concluded plans to pay homage to the king twice every year to reenact the practice of honouring the throne.
According to him, he is sure that he is on the right leadership path with calls of commendation coming from community leaders as he clocks 100 days in office.
Also speaking during the visit, Comrade Bayo Eyube noted that after he handed over as president, it was as though the office became vacant, saying that with the coming of Kigho, he is excited, seeing his achievements so far.
Adding: ”I can authoritatively say that Kigho has already broken my record as president while in office and will do better than I.”
