Nigeria Civil Society Union Threatens To Picket FIRS Offices Nationwide

The Nigeria Civil Society Union, NCSU has threatened to picket the various offices of the Federal Internal Revenue Services nationwide.
The development is sequel to the alleged clamp down on the union, sealing of the union’s unit Secretariat, and stoppage of the check off dues of members to the union.

The decision of the union is contained in a letter to all its beaches across the country where the leadership were directed to begin to mobilize their members including staff of the FIRS towards achieving the struggle.

According to the letter, the picketing will take place on the 26th of July 2021 until the management of FIRS opens the union’s unit Secretariat, remittance of all check off dues and deductions and reach a compromise with the union on contentious issues.
