…He Left House 10.20pm, But Around Midnight His Phone Was Off -Girlfriend
A medical doctor identified as Morenikeji Oluwaniyi has been reported dead after he was killed by four gang members in Abule Egba of Lagos state.
According to his girlfriend, Adeola Adesanwo, he is a medical doctor and decided to convert his car to a Uber ride just to make more money.
On Sunday night, he picked a passenger who ordered a ride but eventually got killed by him.
Ahmed, the passenger who ordered the ride asked to be taken to Ikeja around 10 pm on the said day.
This is business and the Uber driver couldn’t refuse it. He decided to pick the passenger at Ikeja. While on their way, other three passengers joined his car. This is normally allowed because once you ordered the car, it’s yours and you could bring more people into the car. It was unknown to him that they wanted to kill him.
When they got to under the bridge, they stopped the car, strangled him from the back, killed him and took his car away.
He was dropped under the bridge and they drove the car away.
When they ordered the ride, Morenikeji’s girlfriend was with him at that time. The girlfriend was the one monitoring him with a call. She discovered that at around midnight, his phone was switched off. This prompted her to report to the company he is working for.

They later traced the car and found it in a mechanic workshop. His girlfriend went to call the police to the scene and they arrested them. It’s so sad because he was to resume work just this Monday before he was killed. He only wanted more money before he would resume.
The girlfriend said if they had requested the car, he would have given them.
“They shouldn’t have killed him, he’s a gentleman and he’s still full of life,” she said.
