Esiso, Obule, Anirah, Igbuya, Others Present As Richard Okotie Celebrates Birthday

Dignitaries cut across party lines from across the state, on Monday October 4, 2021, stormed Richard Randy Okotie’s hotel, Richards Continental Hotel, Sapele, to celebrate his birthday with many describing him as a good man.

Among those who had stormed his hotel along Ireto road are the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Barr Kingsley Esiso, the member representing Sapele constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Felix Anirah, the former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly who had defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Monday Ovwhigho Igbuya and PDP Chieftain in the state, Chief Charles Obule.

Others are Hon Eugene Inoaghan, the Sapele Local Government Council Chairman, Chief Benson Okorodudu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Peace building and conflict resolution, Chief Austin Arieja, PDP Chieftain and Chairman, Otonyasere Community and Chief in Okpe kingdom, Hon Bright Abeke, Commissioner Representing Sapele, Okpe and Ethiope West local government areas on the board of DESOPADEC, Dr Festus Pemu, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Hon Joyce Jemirheri, Sapele PDP women leader and others.

Speaking to newsmen at the venue, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso said Chief Randy was a loyal party man who not only has helped to push the party beyond limits from opposition but a man who has continued to provide employment for teeming youths.

“You know he is a loyal party man who has not only contributed to the party in service but also in cash, I must also commend him for his service to humanity. He has provided employment for hundreds of youths. So, all I want to wish him is good life and prosperity,” Esiso said.

Chief Anirah on his part described Richard Okotie as a man who deserves to be celebrated.

“A man who not only has a good heart but has continued to contribute his quota to community building. He is also an employer of labour and a party man. I want to say many happy returns, long life and prosperity and may God continue to enlarge his coast,” the House of Assembly member said.

Hon Eugene Inoaghan said: “Today, with the full support of the Party, I want to say your impact in the growth of this town has been tremendously fantastic. There is no doubt that even leaders can attest to the impact you have made in this community and we are proud of you.”

Chief Benson Okorodudu, who could not resist praying for Chief Randy, while describing him as a childhood friend and classmate, said his enemies will continue to fall aside in the course of his journey to the top.”

“You will see your children’s children and God will continue to be great to you, May you be blessed again and again,” he smiled as he danced away.

Dr Pemu who was full of praises for Chief Okotie, called him a man of many parts.

Adding: “A successful businessman, a committed loyalist in the PDP and a man with the milk of kindness.”

“What more would I add, you have always led by example and your calmness, kindness is second to none, happy birthday sir,” he added.

Chief Austin Arieja on his part described Richard Randy Okotie as a down to earth human with the ability to listen and make immense contributions to the development of society.

“On this your special day, I wish you heaven’s best,” he said.

Others who spoke are Hon Joyce Jemirheri, Hon Peter Eferurie Adjemiyotan, Hon Stanley Ejemighaye Kogoro, Hon James Eta, Hon Rukevwe Ubogu who called Richard Randy a leader like no other whom God will continue to bless.

Later in the day, a seemingly silent hotel auditorium was greeted by the joyous echoes of celebration as families, friends, acquaintances and well-wishers chanted the popular happy birthday song to Richard Randy Okotie.

The auditorium was filled to capacity as majorly young people with a collection of the elderly gathered to celebrate him.

The entertainment industry was not left out as comedians, MCs from all over Delta State came to celebrate a man whom they said has given importance to entertainment.

Others who graced the birthday groove include PDP leaders from rural and urban areas, Exco members from ward seven and councillors from across the various wards in Sapele.
