Delta Publishers’ Media Week: Nwoko To Deliver Covid-19 Lecture Today

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Health Monitoring, Dr Michael Nwoko will be delivering a lecture on Covid-19; its implications on unvaccinated community of persons and of course, the benefits in observing the approved World Health Organisation’s protocols, including vaccination.
Nwoko who is a leading voice in driving Delta State Government’s policies on Covid-19 since its outbreak, will use the medium to interface with the actual opinion leaders from various communities of the state, to convince them on the need to propagate the message of collective cooperation to eradicate the Covid-19 pandemic from the state.
The award winning medical doctor was carefully selected to do justice to the Theme of the Association’s Media Week, as a result of his grounded Knowledge on infectious diseases, for which Covid-19 is one.
Nwoko graduated from the University of Benin from where he proceeded to John’s Hopkins University, the University of Pennsylvania and Atlantic International University, all in America for further studies.

He is a consummate Health Care Practitioner, politician and business mogul whose incredible contributions in society have helped greatly in the advancement of humanity, especially in the areas of health initiatives and services.
On the strength of the above, including his consistent advocacy on the dangers of Covid-19 pandemic and benefits of vaccination via various mass media channels, appealing to citizens of the state to get vaccinated, he was selected as the best man to deliver the lecture.
In most of the interviews Nwoko had granted, he usually takes time in explaining the myth behind the dreaded disease while at the same time pushing for vaccination with everybody in mind.
The Publishers had considered Dr Nwoko as a great instrument in helping the government to succeed in her vaccine policies, while at the same time achieve the global goal eradicating the virus. As a result of this confidence reposed in him, he was chosen to deliver the lecture on the Theme: “Community Media, Covid-19 and Proper Information Management” directly to Delta community stakeholders.
The event will hold at Orchid Hotel today, 11th November, 2021, with dignitaries from all walks of life coming to be a part of the great event in Asaba.
