Mosogar Kingdom: Omene Says Amori Inaugurated Otota In Council, Not Ovie In Council
By Daniel Dafe
Chief Joe Omene has reacted to a report published on this medium that said that the Otota (Traditional Prime Minister) of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP, Ugo of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Paule Ojarikre and Unuavworo of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Abel A. Ogbakpah on Tuesday evening inaugurated 20 Chiefs of the “Ovie In Council” which was constituted from the two ruling Houses in Mosogar Kingdom (Udurhie and Uduaka).
Recall that a press statement signed by Comr. Ovie Bethel, said that the inauguration was done “in a bid to create harmony, spirit of oneness and administrative effectiveness in Mosogar Kingdom.”
According to the statement, “Udurhie Ruling House produced 10 Chiefs while Uduaka Ruling House also produced 10 Chiefs with Comr. Ovie Bethel and Comr. Fidelis Eyenor to serve as Press Secretary and assistant Press Secretary to the council respectively.”
Also, Chief Amori in his address at the occasion, said “Every family in Mosogar Kingdom is equal and there is no family that is superior to any other family, so everyone have equal rights.”

But, in a swift reaction, Chief Omene described the inauguration as a fraud.
His words: “It was all fraud. Chief Amori doesn’t have the constitutional powers to inaugurate OVIE IN COUNCIL, only the king has such powers. What he did can only be referred to as “Otota in Council”. He wants to either divide or destroy Mosogar. He has been trying to rubbish the King and his legacies including the king’s family, but we are watching how he’ll go about it. We have our own options.”
