Mosogar Kingdom: Ovie-In-Council Meets, Chief Joe Omene, Brother Absent

The newly inaugurated Ovie- In -Council in of Mosogar Kingdom of Delta State, on Saturday, 27th November,2021, held its first sitting.
The meeting was presided over by the ‘Otota’ of Mosogar Kingdom,High Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP.
Oasis Magazine learnt that ssues concerning the progress, growth and development of Mosogar Kingdom were discussed.
In attendance were Chief Freeborn Nana, Chief Col Akporokah, Chief SD Oki, Chief Vincent Okporue, Chief Omonigho Ogbakpah, Chief Chris Onogba, Chief Richard Ojagbon, Chief Ese Ogbakpah, Chief Simeon Edijana, Chief moses Umujekporue, Chief Japheth Adoye, Chief Oghenedoro America, Chief Festus Oboloko, Chief Bernard Abinoko, Chief Obukowho Ugbune, Chief Silver Anuwa and others.
Sources at the meeting said Chief Joe Omene and his brother, Chief Wilson Omene were absent from the said meeting.
Recall that Chief Joe Omene described the Ovie-in-Council as illegal, saying it is best described as Otota-in-Council.
He has also vowed to fight the move, adding that they have their own game plan to bring about an end to this move by Chief Amori.
Meanwhile, following the said meeting, as a continuation of on Saturday meeting, on Sunday, the prime minister of Mosogar kingdom, Chief Amori, had a crucial meeting with the entire Oguedion Council of Elders and Chiefs during which the Otota briefed the Oguedion council of Elders on some recent developments in the kingdom.
