BREAKING: Court Remands Five Students Of Dowen College Over Sylvester’s Death
A Lagos State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba has remanded five students of Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos, who were arrested by the Police in connection to the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, in a juvenile home.
Oromoni Jnr. died of complications, last week, as a result of injuries sustained after he was tortured by senior colleagues in the school for refusing to join a cult group.
A report by Vanguard said that the students were remanded, following an order obtained from the Yaba Magistrates court by the police.

It quoted the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, as confirming the development but stating that investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
“They have not been arraigned yet. They were only remanded in a juvenile home pending the conclusion of investigation into the matter,” Ajisebutu was quoted as saying.
