Prof. Egwunyenga Clocks Two Years As DELSU VC, Thanks Staff, Students

Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Prof. Andy O. Egwunyenga, has clocked two years at the helm of affairs of the institution.
Prof. Egwunyenga who in a statememt on Wednesday titled ‘My Gratitude to staff and students- DELSU VC,’ added that within this period, he has continued to build on the foundation laid by his predecessors in his modest effort to advance the university which turns 30 in April 28, 2022.
He added: “The task of administering and developing our institution is an all-important one, requiring the contributions of all and sundry, hence the need for inclusiveness.”

He recalled that in his address to Congregation on August 27, 2021, he gave account of his stewardship for the past 24 months, to appreciate the present circumstances and point the way forward.
Adding: “You will agree with me that we have made some modest achievements by addressing some burning issues in a practical, convincing and workable manner. But we are not resting on our oars.
I believe that without the cooperation of staff and students not much could have been achieved. In fact, I have enjoyed strong support of staff, students and other strategic stakeholders since my assumption of office. I, therefore, extend my sincere appreciation to you all. In the years ahead, more work is needed to achieve greater successes.”
