ADC Coalition: Okotie-Eboh Calls For Tinubu’s Re-election, Says INEC Not Nigeria’s Electoral Problem

The son of Nigeria’s first Finance Minister and former Regent of the Warri Kingdom, Prince Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh, has urged critics of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to place blame on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the shortcomings in Nigeria’s electoral system.

Speaking to journalists in Warri, Delta State, Prince Okotie-Eboh addressed recent criticisms of INEC following their conduct in past elections. He stated that politicians who fail to present clear and compelling manifestos to the Nigerian people should not turn around to blame the electoral body for their electoral losses.

Prince Okotie-Eboh also addressed the recent coalition formed by members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), emphasizing that such alliances, often led by former officeholders, should not serve as distractions to the progress of President Tinubu’s administration.

He noted that the coalition, chaired by former Senate President David Mark, includes individuals who were previously in the APC or PDP, and who once held significant positions without making meaningful changes.

He argued that many members of the ADC coalition had once served as vice presidents, governors, ministers, heads of federal parastatals, or lawmakers. Despite their time in office, he claimed they failed to use their positions to address the nation’s challenges. Now, according to him, they have come together under the ADC banner to discredit and undermine President Tinubu’s government.

Highlighting the importance of unity, Okotie-Eboh called on Nigerians to rally behind President Tinubu as he continues to implement his policies. He stressed that two years into an administration is insufficient to fully assess its performance, adding that the president still has two more years to fulfill his promises and deliver substantial progress.

“Politicians should focus on developing strong manifestos capable of winning the trust and support of the electorate,” he said. “Rather than attacking INEC or blaming others for their political misfortunes, they should concentrate on convincing Nigerians with their plans and vision.”

He urged members of the ADC coalition to reconsider their stance and throw their weight behind President Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027. According to him, such support is crucial for ensuring the successful completion of the administration’s political and developmental agenda.

Prince Okotie-Eboh who described the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamu as born future leaders of the country, saying that age is already on their side but should count themselves lucky working with a good successor manager President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had in the past proved his worth and showed competence as former governor of Lagos State .

Prince Okotie-Eboh concluded by reaffirming his belief in President Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the president began his administration on a strong footing. He encouraged Nigerians across all political divides to set aside personal ambitions and support Tinubu in completing two full terms for the sake of national unity and progress.
