Gov. Wike Bans Nightclubs, Prostitution In Port Harcourt
Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike has banned prostitution and nightclubs in River State.
The governor gave the order in his New year broadcast in River State capital, Port Harcourt on Saturday.
He banned nightclub activities including nighttime trading and street prostitution especially along Abacha road and surrounding area particularly in the Casablanca area.

According to him, the development will stop the harmful effects of these depraved activities on the moral development of the children and society at large.
However, it remains unclear how long the ban will last for, but certainly, Wike has less than two years left in office.
The governor further directed security agencies in River State to arrest and sue anyone attempting to violate the ban. Wike said a taskforce would be set up to this effect.
