Super DPO Gets Another Award From Center For The Vulnerable And Underprivilege
A coalition of civil society groups under the aegis of Center for the Vulnerable and Underprivilege (CENTREP) has honoured CSP Harrison Nwabuisi, the Divisional Police Officer of Sapele Police Station, in Delta State, with their Police Friendly award, barely a month after the ‘Super Cop’ won the prestigious Observers Network International Award for the most outstanding/active Security Personnel of the Year 2021.
Presenting the award to the Policeman at the DPO’s office in Sapele, leader of the group, Comrade Barr Mrs O J Egbo said that the award was in recognition of the policeman’s support and collaboration with civil society groups in the local government.
Egbo said: “He does not sleep, we have never been on the same lane with policemen but yours is different. We want to thank you for takling criminals head on, and your dedication to the job; you have always been there for us and your relation with Sapele people has been great.
“SP Nwabuisi is one that has exemplified by his actions, that he recognizes the roles and appreciates the civil society in Nigeria.
“The DPO has expressed his solidarity in the defence of our freedom and in the defence of our rights. We are not that kind of people who do sycophancy. We are here because the man who is in charge of this station has identified with the course of the underprivileged, the course of the oppressed,” Mrs Egbo said.

Responding, Nwabuisi who dedicated the award to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, and the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, thanked the CENTREP members for the award and called for a greater cooperation for the good of Sapele.
He said that many persons tended to shy away from giving information to the police for fear of revealing their identity. Please let’s cooperate, help us to help you and Sapele will be a safer place.”
Nwabuisi was awarded the prestigious Observers Network International’s Super-Cop Award early December 2021 as the most outstanding/active Security Personnel of the Year 2021 after he led his men to confront criminal gangs, raiding kidnappers’ den and drug cartels that have hitherto been a no-go area until his posting to the area, with the ONIM ambassador, Mrs Anthonia Overah describing him as the new face of Nigeria police.
