Bozimo Tasks LAWSAN On Impactful Advocacies

Delta State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Isaiah Bozimo Esq has called on the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) to articulate critical programmes that can expose them to the realities of the practice of their future professional career in law.
Bozimo made the call at Asaba when a delegation of the Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
He commended the Association for the vision to organise an advocacy competition for law students in the Universities and that the initiative should be sustained as he pledged his ministry’s support to the Association.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Law Students Association of Nigeria, 5th National Senate, Oghenevovmeero Favour Jesu-Simine underscored the importance of advocacy in justice delivery, as every lawyer must have the ability to advocate for others.
He stated that as part of efforts to create the next generation of lawyers that will raise the practice of advocacy at the Bar, LAWSAN decided to organise advocacy programmes to enable students learn the rigours and basics of the law profession. Oghenevovmeero, stated that the planned advocacy competition would hold in Benin-City, Edo State from March 15 to March 30, 2022, and was open to all interested Universities in the Federation.
He said that the advocacy competition was the first phase of the programme and that a constitutional debate was also planned as the second phase. The Constitutional debate would be open to all students irrespective of their field of study as it is important for citizens to have the knowledge of the Constitution.
