House Of Reps To Appeal Ruling On Electoral Act Today
House of Representatives will, today, file an appeal against the judgment of a Federal High Court against the Electoral Act Amendment Bill, even as it expressed confidence it would emerge victorious, Guardian reports.

Spokesman of the House, Benjamin Kalu, who briefed newsmen in Abuja, said that the powers of the National Assembly could not be usurped by any arm of government.
Adding that if the judgment is sustained, it would be a clear case of legislative interference, which could ruin the power of the legislature.
