Overspeeding: 11 Die In Road Accident Along Zaria-Kaduna Road
The Unit Commandant, Federal Road Safety Corp, Zaria Command, Abubakar Tatah Murabus, on Tuesday, confirmed that 11 people died in a road accident along Zaria-Kaduna road.
While confirming the number of deaths, Abubakar noted that the dead persons have been moved to a morgue.
He said the accident was due to overspeeding.
Murabus added that the accident occurred when a Toyota Carina car, with registration number KTL 251QG, lost control around Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, and somersaulted after hitting the median barrier.

“The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon around 2 pm along Tariyar Sarki near Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria,” he said.
According to him, the FRSC had warned drivers severally to desist from the habit of overloading passengers.
He said the car, which was meant to carry five people, including the driver, carried eleven persons.
He added that the driver was said to be overspeeding with the overloaded passengers, which resulted in the death of all them.
