BREAKING: Sheriff Oborevwori Polls 583 Votes To Emerge PDP Governorship Candidate In Delta

The Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 general elections.

Oborevwori beat 13 other governorship aspirants including Chief James Ibori’s preferred candidate, Olorogun David Edevbie and Senator James Manager to pick the governorship ticket of the PDP.

The Delta Assembly Speaker polled 583 votes to emerge the candidate.

Edevbie scored 113 votes to come second while Senator James Manager polled 83

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Delta State and one of the governorship aspirants, Deacon Deacon Kingsley Otuaro walked out of the venue while counting of votes was still on.
